Harlingen CISD was approved for the Teacher Incentive Allotment for a third consecutive year.
This year, HCISD submitted 376 TIA designations, which totals $5 million.
Last year, HCISD submitted 156 TIA designations which amounted to $3.1 million.
The TIA program originated in Texas House Bill 3 and focuses on recruiting, rewarding, and retaining highly effective teachers in Texas schools.
