Grant Application for Federal Funding 2024-2025
Harlingen CISD gives public notice of the district’s intention to apply for the 2024-2025 Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Federal Grant application with the Texas Education Agency.
If any member of the public would like to provide a comment regarding Harlingen CISD’s application for the 2024-2025 ESSA Federal Grant application, they are encouraged to submit their comments to Harlingen CISD on or before June 23, 2024.
The 2024-2025 ESSA grant period will be from July 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. It is important to note that Harlingen CISD aims to align their grant-funded programs and activities with their strategic plan. By doing so, the district intends to use ESSA funding to support supplemental strategies and activities that are purposeful, data-driven, and evidence-based. The goal is to help students achieve college and career success while staying aligned with HCISD’s Vision, Mission, and Goals.
In accordance with United States Code (USC) Annotated, Title 20, Chapter 70, Subchapter IX, Part C, Section 7846, and Public Law (P.L.) 114-95, Every Student Success Act (ESSA), Section 8306, “any applicant, other than a state educational agency that submits a plan or application under this chapter or act, shall have on file with the state educational agency a single set of assurances, applicable to each program for which a plan or application is submitted. Assurance #7. Before the application was submitted, the applicant afforded a reasonable opportunity for public comment on the application and considered such comment.

Harlingen CISD notifica al público la intención del distrito de solicitar el subsidio federal 2024-2025 de la Ley que Todo Estudiante Tenga Éxito (ESSA) con la Agencia de Educación de Texas.
Si alguien del público desea enviar un comentario sobre la solicitud de Harlingen CISD para la solicitud del subsidio federal ESSA 2024-2025, los invitamos a enviar sus comentarios a Harlingen CISD a más tardar el 23 de junio de 2024.
El período del subsidio ESSA 2024-2025 será del 1 de julio de 2024 al 30 de septiembre de 2025. Es importante señalar que Harlingen CISD tiene como objetivo adaptar sus programas y actividades financiados por subsidios con su plan estratégico. Al hacerlo, el distrito tiene la intención de utilizar los fondos de ESSA para apoyar estrategias y actividades complementarias que tengan un propósito, estén basadas en información y en evidencia. El objetivo es ayudar a los estudiantes a lograr el éxito universitario y profesional mientras mantienen la visión, la misión y las metas de HCISD.
En cumplimiento del Código de los Estados Unidos (USC) Anotado, Título 20, Capítulo 70, Subcapítulo IX, Parte C, Sección 7846, y Ley Pública (P.L.) 114-95, Ley que Todo Estudiante Tenga Éxito (ESSA), Sección 8306, “cualquier solicitante, que no sea una agencia educativa estatal que presente un plan o solicitud en virtud de este capítulo o ley, deberá tener archivado en la agencia educativa estatal un conjunto único de garantías, aplicable a cada programa para el cual se presente un plan o solicitud. Garantía #7. Antes de que se presentara la solicitud, el solicitante ofreció una oportunidad razonable para que el público hiciera comentarios sobre la solicitud y consideró dichos comentarios.
