March is National Social Worker Month, a time to recognize the vital role our social workers play in supporting students and families.
Our HCISD Social Workers, Student Wellness Specialist, and School Climate Specialist provide essential services, from emotional support to crisis intervention, ensuring students have the resources they need to thrive.
Our Guidance & Counseling Department had the incredible opportunity to tour the Children’s Bereavement Center-RGV, deepening our understanding of the vital support they provide to students coping with loss.
Our Licensed Master Social Workers, Student Wellness Specialist, and School Climate Specialist engaged in meaningful discussions with Mr. Bill Reagan, Executive Director, and Ms. Cindy Waddle, Counseling Supervisor, to explore resources and strengthen our collaboration.
By building connections with community organizations like the Children’s Bereavement Center, we ensure our students and families have access to compassionate care and support during difficult times.
Together, we are committed to fostering healing, resilience, and well-being for our school community.
